Hi Jeff; Not to worry, sounds like oil drag to me.
The multi-disc clutch running in oil will have more drag than a single plate dry automotive type clutch. Just put it in neutral and it should roll easy. When the engine is running the oil will be hot and thin and drag will not be as noticeable.
